Here at Life In Bloom, our “off-season” is anything but slow for our event designers. This time of year, our designers are busy meeting with new clients and booking events for the upcoming year. As we meet with so many engaged couples, one thing we remind ourselves of is that wedding ceremonies come in all shapes and sizes.

Down a winding road in the lovely suburb of Lake Forest sits a historic venue called the Armour House. On March 4th, Andrea and Dan celebrated their marriage surrounded by family, friends, and the most delicate decor (if we do say so ourselves). Andrea’s vision for her wedding was perfectly in line with the style of […]

Leon Young and Sae Jun had the most beautiful spring wedding at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum filled with ranunculus, peonies, garden roses and a plethora of tiny textural blooms that made guests feel as though they were transported to an english cottage garden! The two were married in the Museum’s stone terrace where we created a birchwood […]

Today, we are putting the spotlight on a beautiful Chicago wedding venue located in the heart of downtown. A space overlooking the lake, a sculpture garden, and stunning architecture, could only be: the Museum of Contemporary Art. Entertaining during the holidays can be a huge stressor for most of us. It’s hard enough to have a tidy house and delicious meal on the table… you can forget about the cute Pinterest projects you were excited about months ago. Thankfully for you, we have nailed down the KEY to being a great host. Are […]

This modern rivers wedding proves that different can be beautiful. When Susan began her process with us, she had a unique vision for her wedding. She wanted a modern and natural wedding with many architectural elements like hanging terrariums, succulents, and manzanita branches. The bouquets were a gorgeous combination of peonies, roses, freesia, anemones, and brunnia […]

Details can truly make a wedding, and that is exactly what made Jaime and Tom’s one to remember. There was not one detail overlooked. The custom bars, neon sign, custom throw pillows, topiaries, suspended trellis, and so much more. With the flawless planning of La Belle Fleur Events, stunning calligraphy of Allie Hasson, delicious catering […]

While couples so often want to keep their wedding decor somewhat conservative and stick to the basics, often they are much more willing to be a little more adventurous when it comes to their rehearsal dinners.  And because of the opportunity that we as designers have to be a little more creative with things, we love rehearsal […]

Galleria Marchetti is one of our favorite Chicago wedding venues to work at.  With it’s beautiful outdoor ceremony space and a newly upgraded tent, this truly unique venue offers couples a chance to create something stunning with a relatively blank slate.  This year our team has a total of three weddings there (two of which we […]
