Here at Life In Bloom, our “off-season” is anything but slow for our event designers. This time of year, our designers are busy meeting with new clients and booking events for the upcoming year. As we meet with so many engaged couples, one thing we remind ourselves of is that wedding ceremonies come in all shapes and sizes.

The best part about working at a unique space is the room for creativity. Lacuna Artist Lofts is a beautiful space in the Pilsen area of Chicago, filled with brick, wood, and many artistic details. Kelsey and Bobby wanted floral to bring their Lacuna Artist Lofts wedding to life and bring a little more of […]

We met Torie and Amarit one night in Lincoln Park and were instantly captivated by their eye for design and appreciation for our craft. Not only were they getting married at one of our favorite wedding spots, The Ivy Room, but they were excited to hear about our favorite items to design. Together we created […]

Oh how we love a good Galleria Marchetti Outdoor Wedding Ceremony, especially when peonies are involved! Our sweet bride, Da Sel, wanted a romantic, pastel wedding full of peonies, hydrangea, dusty miller, garden roses and subtle touches of eucalyptus for her spring wedding. To start, it helped that Da Sel fully trusted our ceremony vision […]

Down a winding road in the lovely suburb of Lake Forest sits a historic venue called the Armour House. On March 4th, Andrea and Dan celebrated their marriage surrounded by family, friends, and the most delicate decor (if we do say so ourselves). Andrea’s vision for her wedding was perfectly in line with the style of […]

Leon Young and Sae Jun had the most beautiful spring wedding at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum filled with ranunculus, peonies, garden roses and a plethora of tiny textural blooms that made guests feel as though they were transported to an english cottage garden! The two were married in the Museum’s stone terrace where we created a birchwood […]

While couples so often want to keep their wedding decor somewhat conservative and stick to the basics, often they are much more willing to be a little more adventurous when it comes to their rehearsal dinners.  And because of the opportunity that we as designers have to be a little more creative with things, we love rehearsal […]

Jen & David were married at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan this past Fall.  Two things to note.  1. Yes, we do travel! and 2. Rochester is the most adorable little town!  I wish I had more time to explore the cute city. We did Jen’s sister Kate’s wedding in one of our first […]

Sangeeta & Joe were married this past memorial day weekend at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Glencoe, IL.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for their tented reception in the McGinley Pavilion.  We actually spent a lot of time trying to capture the perfect color palette for their wedding. We wanted to give Sangeeta […]

A few weeks ago we gave you a behind-the-scenes tour of our new studio and today we’ll show you what we were working on and how perfectly it all came together at the Ritz Carlton Chicago for the 2015 Martha Stewart Bridal Show.  The annual Martha Stewart Bridal Show pulls together some of the best wedding vendors […]

Modern, Colorful, CB2: These were all adjectives that Christina and Jimmy used to describe the vision for their Summer wedding at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA).  We loved their direction of CB2 as inspiration and really took it upon ourselves to create an atmosphere that encapsulated that fun and contemporary style while adding our […]
