Here at Life In Bloom, our “off-season” is anything but slow for our event designers. This time of year, our designers are busy meeting with new clients and booking events for the upcoming year. As we meet with so many engaged couples, one thing we remind ourselves of is that wedding ceremonies come in all shapes and sizes.

Meet Taylor: wedding planner extraordinaire, owner of Amelia Cole Events, and our stunning summer bride.  It is safe to say we could not have been more excited when Taylor asked us to bring her wedding vision to life. And let us be the first to say, it was epic. The Patrick Haley Mansion summer wedding […]

One of our favorite spots was transformed this past spring into a floral garden from heaven. Katy and Brad’s Galleria Marchetti spring wedding was something that only dreams are made of. From the first meeting with Katy and her mom, it was obvious that floral was of utmost importance to them, and that they wanted […]

The Langham Chicago sets the tone for a timeless wedding. The floor to ceiling windows, grand chandeliers, and sleek color scheme create a luxurious wedding atmosphere. Even the simplest decor can be beautiful. However, Monica and Garrett wanted to turn it up a notch, and make the space something their guests would never forget. Let’s […]

On a warm summer day, the Chicago Illuminating Company was transformed into nothing short of a dream. Jenni and John started their day taking photos in the most beautiful gardens surrounded by their bridal party. Everyone dressed in their chic, black ensembles and Jenni in a stunning white gown with an illusion lace neckline. We […]

Nestled in the heart of River North, sits an ivy covered building, properly named, The Ivy Room. This is not the first wedding we have blogged at the location, as it is one of our favorite wedding spots. Last fall, Jess and Joel tied the knot at this venue and we could not have been […]

Gena and Sean celebrated their “big day” with a Morgan Manufacturing Wedding this past February. The couple wanted a winter-glam atmosphere, so picture this: guests enter the cocktail hour to find their names on suspended acrylic escort card boards. The names were printed on post-it notes, a personal touch since the couple has a history […]

A picturesque wedding day looks like this one: beginning in the gardens of the Armour House and ending inside the marble filled ballroom. Kimmy and Joe said “I do” on the sunniest day of September at this stunning venue with 100 of their closest friends and family. The sweet couple could not have been more […]

Kim and Alex wanted simple but chic style for their fall wedding at Bridgeport Art Center. Judging by the incredible photos from Lisa Berry Photography, that is exactly what they got. Bridgeport Art Center set the stage for an urban, Chicago wedding. The wooden interior and stunning city views are absolutely breath-taking! Kim’s bouquet was filled […]

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago has the most beautiful terrace for an intimate outdoor wedding. Lauren and Justin were married on this very terrace with 100 of their closest family and friends. The spot overlooks an architectural garden and is just steps away from Lake Michigan, a stunning Chicago setting. Their style was absolutely […]

In the midst of a busy wedding season, we slowed down to create this beautiful Chicago Illuminating Company wedding. Since their wedding was filled with fine textures and the sweetest blooms, it’s one of our favorites. Our lovely bride, Sophie, grew up in France and wanted to incorporate touches of home throughout her Chicago Illuminating Company wedding. […]
