June 16th 2018 was no joke in the Chicagoland area. The Temperature was in the low 90’s but the heat index was far above 100 degrees. And with THREE outdoor weddings, our team had our work cut out for ourselves. Today we’re sharing with you one of those three events with this beautiful Pastel wedding at The Armour House in Lake Forest, Illinois.
In looking back at the photos by Maria Harte of their Pastel Wedding at The Armour House, it’s hard to tell that it was hot at all. I mean, the Peonies and Dahlias in Patti’s Bridal bouquet were as fresh as we’ve ever seen them! I guess that’s what you get when you hire a decor company lead by a horticulturalist who lives and breathes flowers!
Patti’s Bridal Bouquet was full of Peonies, Astilbe, Ranunculus, Dahlias, Garden Roses, and Lisianthus with a splash of Silver-Dollar-Eucalyptus. We finished it off with an etherial dusty blue and ivory trailing silk ribbon.
Meanwhile, her flower girl wore the most perfect floral crown made of Olive and white Spray-roses. And the Bridesmaids, wearing dusty blue dresses, carried equally delicate, but smaller bouquets. Their florals consisted of Dahlias, Peonies, Lisianthus, and Dusty Miller, completing the perfect pastel colored floral palette.
The inside of their Wedding at The Armour House was equally beautiful. We filled the stone fountain with Italian Ruscus and placed white flower petals and floating candles at the base. It created a perfectly romantic welcome focal for guests first entering the reception.
Finally, inside of The Armour House, the centerpieces consisted of stemmed glass candleholders and gold compotes overflowing with an equally romantic floral palette. And the touches of gold and dusty blue combined for a really fresh look. All together we created a look that we have yet to see from a wedding at The Armour House and we couldn’t have been more obsessed!
