Stephanie & Spencer got married at The Drake Hotel Chicago this past October. There are few wedding venues as perfect as The Drake Hotel for a classic and elegant city wedding. We created a classic and simple green and white floral palette with an abundance of gold accents that was perfect for this Drake Hotel Chicago Wedding.
PERSONAL FLOWERS
Stephanie carried an elegant bouquet full of Roses, Lisianthus, Camelia foliage, Freesia, and Ranunculus. The classic floral palette was perfect for a Drake Hotel Chicago Wedding! And her bridesmaid’s, wearing champagne colored gowns, held smaller bouquets with a complementary floral palette.
CEREMONY
Often times, as wedding florists, the ceremony takes a back seat the the reception which is usually the primary focus of the floral and decor. That was not the case for this Drake Hotel Chicago Wedding. The ceremony aisle was lined with white pedestals with gold vases overflowing with lush floral arrangements. At the end of the aisle was a stage backed by a soft ivory drape with a crossed pattern. On the stage were six MASSIVE arrangements on pedestals all surrounded by a sea of candles. Breathtaking was an understatement!
RECEPTION
Once guests filtered out of the Drake’s Gold Coast Room, we quickly transformed the ceremony space into a glamorous setting for dinner and dancing. The centerpieces included lush floral in gold compotes, gold stemmed candle holders, gold candelabras, and tall gold pedestal vases with classic green and white floral arrangements. With a variation of centerpieces, everything still flowed together seamlessly and cohesively. Since we love to repurpose as much as we can, we moved the large ceremony arrangements to flank both the band and the sweetheart table.
