Romantic Fall Wedding at The Four Seasons Chicago

Chicago Wedding Portraits in Millennium Park

This past September, we had the luxury of working with this beautiful couple to bring their Four Seasons Chicago Wedding to life. The Four Seasons Chicago wedding ballroom has a very traditional vibe to it. (Although it should be mentioned they have done extensive renovations over the winter). So that being said, the couple wanted to soften up the space and make it feel much more like a garden in late-summer/early-fall.

To start, one of our favorite accents that we incorporated into almost every element of their big day, was Panicle Hydrangea. And that with a touch of smilax, Garden Roses, and Dahlias made for a STUNNING fall floral palette. And while the bouquets were stunning, that was just the start to this incredibly lush wedding at The Four Seasons Chicago.

Four Seasons Chicago Wedding Ceremony

For the wedding ceremony, guests entered the ballroom through taupe drapes tied-back with a delicate touch of smilax. Next, the double-wide aisle was lined with planter boxes overflowing with a gorgeous array of blooms. And in between each planter box, candle hurricanes densely lined the aisle. Finally, at the end of the aisle was a large stage where we placed two MASSIVE garden-inspired floral arrangements. The arrangements were set on molded pedestals. Lastly, Frost created a beautiful drapery wall with tied back accents to help soften the ballroom at The Four Seasons.

Four Seasons Chicago Wedding Reception

After the ceremony, guests moved into cocktails. Stunning escort cards by EJD Designs were set on a long table, cloaked in champagne sequin linens. Then we designed a beautiful display behind the carefully placed escort cards. Gold-rimmed hurricanes, votives, and small floral arrangements surrounded a striking arrangement of olive and cotoneaster designed in a flared glass vase.

While cocktail hour was happening, our team was busy flipping the ballroom at the Four Seasons Chicago. With a gorgeous floorplan by Bliss Weddings and Events, the room had unique tablescapes at every turn. And our amazing team designed the most gorgeous and lush deconstructed floral runners which ran the length of the tables. Next, on the round wood tables, we designed tall organic style arrangements that dripped floral and greenery out of the tall glass garnier style vases. Finally, a combination of hurricanes, taper candles, and gold-rimmed votives added a warm glow throughout the room.

Guests had the pleasure of sitting on our all-time favorite chairs: The Maison Chairs by Nuage Designs. Speaking of favorites; one of our very favorite parts of this wedding was the Custom bars. Northern Decor built beautiful blue velvet-tufted bars which complemented the table linens perfectly!

Four Seasons Chicago Wedding Dance Floor and Band Surround

And no party is complete without a hot dance floor. So like any great Four Seasons Chicago wedding, you have to hire yourself a great band. The Élan Artists did not disappoint. While they brought the beats, we made them look their best by surrounding the stage in a gorgeous floral hedge. And with a sleek white dance floor with the couple’s custom watercolor monogram, it was time to dance! If you want to see more from this stunning wedding, then check out our portfolio gallery here. Now go enjoy!
