This past July, our floral and decor company took over The Chicago Botanic Garden’s with some seriously beautiful blooms! We spent the first weekend of July with back to back days in McGinley Pavilion. And the first of the two weddings was Meaghan & Sean’s Friday wedding at The Chicago Botanic Gardens.
To start, Meghan & Sean wanted a European countryside feel with loose and organic blooms in old world vessels. So naturally, a french-market-inspired tablescape welcomed guests into their wedding at The Chicago Botanic Garden. And we achieved this via a collection of tall zinc vessels displayed bundles of seasonal blooms on the table just entering McGinley Pavilion.
Next, the personal flowers (bouquets and boutonnières) had an equally European-inspired palette. For starters, Meaghan’s cascading bouquet included Pepperberry foliage, Jasmine Vine, Olive, Lavender, Ranunculus, Garden Roses, Lisianthus, Italian Ruscus, and Astilbe. And Sean’s boutonniere was made from a touch of Olive and a sprig of Lavender.
Inside of the tent at this Wedding at The Chicago Botanic Garden was where they hosted the reception. For the reception centerpieces, we designed tall sprays of Olive and Cotoneaster in large glass Garnier vases on half of the tables. And on the rest of the tables, we designed the most beautiful and organic arrangements in light gray stone compotes. The texture of the footed compotes had this floral and decor company swooning in the floral studio all week leading up to their wedding! Their floral palette was equally stunning to the bouquets and overflowed with Eucalyptus, Lavender, Kiera Garden Roses, Calsynia, Olive, and Stock. It was the most perfect European inspired wedding we’ve seen to date!
