Desi & Justin were married this past August at the Armour House in Lake Forest. We love the Armour House for its old charming details and marble everywhere! Of course we can’t forget about how picturesque its outdoor ceremony space is! There are beautiful details around every corner. For Desi & Justin’s Armour House wedding, they opted for a soft & romantic palette consisting of light pale blues, whites, and greens with silver & marble accents.

For the bouquets, Desi & her bridesmaids held lush tailored organic bouquets of roses, spray roses, lisianthus, and white anemone accented with gray-green eucalyptus foliages, olive, and silvery dusty miller leaves. This classic floral palette was perfect for an armour house wedding.

Desi & Justin were married outside in the Armour House’s stunning garden which looks straight out of a movie set. I can’t imagine a more picturesque backdrop for a wedding. White rose bushes lined the aisle. So we kept it simple and we designed two larger size urn arrangements. These flanked the area where they were married. The key when designing an Armour House wedding is to compliment the natural beauty and not take away from it :).

During cocktail hour, guests meandered throughout the gardens and charming outdoor patio and found their seat on marble tiles. This was another nod to the marble details at the Armour House. So naturally, we printed a marble foam core sign to display the menu for guests to see.

Finally, when guests entered the reception, their eyes were immediately drawn to the tall silver candelabras. We adorned the candelabras with a lush treatment of smilax greenery. We alternated high & low pieces throughout the room and while half of the tables feature the stately candelabras the others featured silver mercury glass compotes with a trio of modern stemmed candleholders surrounding the floral piece. These centerpieces provided TONS of candlelight throughout the space and the room glowed. The floral palette for the centerpieces featured white roses, white stock, white delphinium, white lisianthus accented with silvery dusty miller leaves, olive & seeded eucalyptus foliages.
