Outdoor Micro-Wedding at Deer Path Inn

To say that this couple was easy going would have to be an understatement. Weeks before their big day, the venue was chosen, the flower design was decided upon, the 15 person guest list was created and remaining vendors were booked. Covid-19 created a different wedding day for these two than they imagined, but it was nothing short of magical. Their outdoor micro-wedding at Deer Path Inn, located in Lake Forest, IL was both beautiful and intimate.

Taylor loved a white and green palette with heavy floral and dainty touches. The bouquet was filled with ranunculus, dusty miller, sweet pea, roses, stock and more. The dainty touch of sweet pea was carried through to the reception and even the cake. Deer Path Inn created the most beautiful setting for their day. Their outdoor cafe was the ceremony and cocktail hour spot, surrounded by trees, ivy and gorgeous landscaping. The flower girl, Taylor and Kevin’s daughter, made a grand entrance in her floral covered wagon and babies breath crown. She later presented a butterfly gift at the ceremony, butterflies flew out of her small box and landed on the arch and areas surrounding the ceremony.

Stepping inside to their reception room felt like a dream! The garden room, that they could have never used with a large guest count, has a stunning floor tile, arched doorways, pendant lighting and an overall luxurious Tudor feel. The marble tables and luxe chairs were a fabulous start to the overall design. Glass footed vases and rosemary topiaries in their natural stone containers made the intimate table feel full and unique. The topiaries were set with custom tags to each couple, so at the end of the night their favor was the gorgeous plant.

We are so happy for Taylor & Kevin to have celebrated their outdoor micro-wedding surrounded by the most important people in their life. All the best to these two!
