Meet Luke Joiner, a Birmingham, AL native with an innate artistic flair! Luke has carved an amazing path in the world of Chicago floral design. For the past three years, Luke has been an invaluable part of the Life In Bloom team. He has left his artistic imprint on countless events with his unique talent and creativity.
Luke’s artistic journey began at the age of 8 when he discovered his passion for the performing arts. Starting as a fun pastime, dancing quickly transformed into a profound passion. By the age of 16, Luke embarked on a professional ballet career, captivating audiences across the United States with his performances in lead roles for various prestigious ballet companies.
However, life is a series of transitions, and Luke faced the daunting task of finding a new career that could satisfy his artistic inclinations while keeping him active. It was a serendipitous moment when he helped a friend organize a few small events and realized his newfound & self taught love for floral design.
Luke’s journey into floral design was a natural progression. His long standing love for horticulture and botany made it a perfect fit. Evidently, it all began with the planning of his own wedding, which ignited his passion for transforming flowers into art.
Reflecting on alternate career paths, a question we rarely think about, Luke envisions himself in landscape architecture or interior design. In Fact, his artistic vision extends beyond floral arrangements, as he visualizes himself creating sensory gardens or designing beautiful interiors. On a lighter note, he humorously contemplates the role of a stay-at-home dad…If we could ever let him leave, that’s another question!
