We’ve seen more all-white weddings at The Adler Planetarium than a ranunculus has petals (a lot). So when AJ & Aaron opted for a colorful palette for their summer wedding at The Adler Planetarium, we started dreaming in galactic hues ranging from vibrant pinks to jewel-toned blues. And seeing all of these colors working together inside of the Adler made our creative hearts so happy!
The Wedding Ceremony
A meandering aisle lined with delicate floral pods led the way to the ceremony, which took place in the main ballroom of The Adler. The rows of chairs alternated between the peacock blue suede look of the Pacific Nomad Chairs and charcoal covered cushions on gold fanfare chairs. A simple but powerful touch. The bride and groom tied the knot surrounded by four large arrangements made of olive and cotoneaster.
The Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, guests transitioned to a cocktail hour in the Grainger Sky Theater where the lighting, linens, and flowers paired together perfectly to create an overall dark and galactic mood consistent with any great Adler Planetarium Wedding.
While guests were enjoying a cocktail, our team was busy transforming what was the ceremony space into a super swanky reception space complete with a framed out checkered dance floor, peacock blue tiled bar, and more warm-toned blooms on each tabletop. Next, we used a mixture of silver linens and peacock blue linens to create a warm and moody wedding vibe. Lastly, we repurposed the tall arrangements on the tables to help fill up the Adler which has dramatically tall ceilings.
Congratulations again to our lovely couple, AJ & Aaron! And thank you for trusting us to create an our-of-this-world experience for you and your guests!
