An Intimate Langham Chicago Wedding

The Space – The Langham Chicago

The Langham Chicago is one of the most luxurious and beautiful hotels in the country! Their incredible service combined with the chic design makes it one of our favorites to work at as well. The space can really adapt to fit most styles because of its neutral tones and large scale windows. People love how convenient it is for guests to attend a wedding if they are staying in the hotel and looking out at the city’s river view makes it truly unforgettable.

Langham Chicago Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Nicole and Matt had a very intimate wedding ceremony & reception at the Langham Chicago last spring. Throwing an intimate wedding can be a challenge in a large hotel. Therefore, the ceremony was held in a smaller room at the Langham, the Melbourne, it fit 25 people theater-style perfectly.

The ceremony floral & decor was focused around two large stone urn arrangements on simple white pedestals. An aisle runner and blush petals were just enough to enhance the space. Is there anything better than Spring flowers? The palette was filled with lilac, hydrangea, sweet pea, garden roses, jasmine vine and more!

The reception was held in a small section of the main ballroom, Devonshire, at the Langham. We used a leaf-patterned light wash to transform the air-wall so that it didn’t feel too corporate. The rest of the focus was solely on the gorgeous 24′ rectangular table that all of the guests were seated at. One long, intimate table is the perfect choice for a wedding of 25! The table had an elevated greenery piece that stretched the entire length and gave guests the feeling they were in an overgrown garden. Stone vases, skinny taper candles, and etched glass votives completed the look.
