The Chicago Illuminating Company has quickly become one of our favorite Chicago Wedding venues. From the moment you walk in, the space captures you. The stunning molding, fixed bar, and oversized doors leading out into the tented area are everything you will ever need in a venue! The space is divided into the tented outdoor courtyard and the indoor dining room. This division makes having ceremony and reception here a breeze. Not to mention, it feels like you are having an outdoor wedding in Chicago, with no need for a rain plan! You must check it out yourself!
Tips:
The space is all neutral, so you can really play it up however you would like. We love to see an arch/chuppah filled with greenery for the outdoor ceremony! (Pro tip: re-use this for your photo backdrop during dancing). The greenery compliments the lush plants that are already in the space during the spring, summer, and fall. In the dining room, adding chandeliers to the space is amazing. There is also an incredible glass shelving unit that is perfect for displaying photos, favors, or even some stunning florals!
