Summer Wedding at Theater On The Lake

Alex and Lyndsay were blessed with a gorgeous day in July for their wedding at Theater on The Lake. They kicked things off with their ceremony along the lakefront path with the crystal blue water of Lake Michigan creating the perfect backdrop. Afterwards, guests enjoyed cocktails along the South end of Theater on The Lake with a front row view to the Chicago’s shimmering skyline.

Ceremony along Lakefront Path

Interestingly, Lindsay & Alex’s wedding at Theater on The Lake was both private but also public. They tied the knot along Chicago’s Lakefront path with hundreds, if not thousands of on-lookers. And I’ve never seen so many people stop running or biking to witness this beautiful ceremony. Our team designed a beautiful floral ring to anchor the wedding ceremony. Then, at the start of the aisle, we crafted two large artful focal pieces made of fresh olive placed atop concrete pedestals. Lastly, the beautiful white Bentwood Chairs from Chance Productions completed the look.

Reception at Theater on The Lake

From the start, Lindsay came to us with a vision of a loose and organic Mediterranean vibe. Suffice it to say, we were obsessed from the get-go. So naturally, we opted for the gorgeous Tuscany Natural linens from La Tavola. Next, we incorporated a textural floral palette of Italian Pitt, Olive, Eucalyptus, Garden Roses, and Ranunculus. Finally, we repurposed the floral hoop from the ceremony backdrop and moved it behind the sweetheart table. And with the help of Frost, we suspended their cake from the ceiling beams of Theater on The Lake. Lastly, our graphics design team created a custom photo backdrop (which we draped in floral and smilax) for guests to enjoy throughout the evening. You can imagine our excitement when we saw photos of Chicago Blackhawks players posing in front of our work!
