Renaissance-Inspired Wedding at The University Club of Chicago

Imagine if your wedding was a renaissance painting. The rich hues. The moody undertones. The decadent tablescapes overflowing with unique fruits and vegetables… perhaps even a pile of beans. Yes, you heard that right. On paper, it’s hard to envision. But Marisa and Jack trusted us to bring their vision to life for their wedding at The University Club earlier this winter and we did not let them down! Enjoy a look at some of the insanely gorgeous details from their February wedding.

I-Do

The ceremony was simple but dramatic. Flanked by two 10′ tall focal magnolia arrangements, Marisa & Jack tied the knot at the end of a long candlelit aisle, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

Feast and Be Festive

As guests entered the dimly lit Cathedral Hall, candlelight flickered throughout accenting the most unique designed centerpieces you’ve ever seen. Sliced pomegranates, overflowing bundles of grapes, meticulously stacked pears. cranberry garlands, meandering amaranthus blooms, vintage vessels filled with cabbage and kale, and hundreds of candles and flickering votives filled the tables with both warmth and interest.

The dance floor, centered in the middle of the great hall, was wrapped in a custom designed vinyl. The custom graphic was made to look like a vintage marble floor with warm blush tones in the stone materials which paired perfectly with the burgundy linens that flanked each side of the dance floor.
