This past September, we were so excited to bring Katie and Ryan’s Ovation Wedding to life! And we were even luckier to work alongside T and S Hughes Photography who captured their fall wedding so wonderfully. Full of deep colored flowers including dahlias and scabiosa, their wedding flowers encapsulated everything that we love about fall weddings!
Ovation is a beautiful, raw, industrial venue located in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. For Katie and Ryan’s Ovation Wedding they wanted to make it feel more romantic while also complimenting the space. Given the season, we just HAD to incorporate dahlias! Additionally, the floral tones also complimented the bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly. Speaking of their attire, how fantastic is Ryan’s tie? Nothing better than a floral-print tie!
Katie’s bouquet was seriously one of our favorite fall bouquets to date! The balance of bold red colors and soft neutral tones was absolute perfection! Ryan sported a boutonniere of olive and white ranunculus all wrapped in a burgundy ribbon which matched Katie’s bouquet perfectly!
This Ovation Wedding ceremony was quite possibly the highlight of the entire day! The suspended floral piece created the perfect backdrop to their ceremony amongst the industrial door of Ovation. We placed brass lanterns along the aisle with candles inside of them. We tucked in bunches of Italian Ruscus around each lantern.
Lastly, as guests mingled during cocktail hour, our team flipped the room, creating long tables with textural garlands running the lengths of them. Ruscus, Bay Leaf, Olive, and Eucalyptus filled the tables. We then placed crystal cut votives and Burgundy napkins at each place setting along with a sprig of olive. The simplicity of the tables was absolutely magnificent!
