What’s better than a tent wedding at your childhood home? Rachel & Taylor were married at Taylor’s home in Lake Forest, IL this past Fall. Their spectacular front lawn became the perfect backdrop for this adorable couple to say “I-do”. Two picturesque hundred year old Oak trees provided an impeccable backdrop which we complimented with two tailored organic urn arrangements to create this intimate ceremony setting.
COCKTAILS
After the couple said ‘I-do’, it was time for Cocktails. So guests meandered throughout the front yard and on the back patio sipping on cocktails underneath a canopy of trees. Upon the conclusion of cocktails, guests made their way down a lantern lit pathway to the tent wedding in their backyard.
RECEPTION
Rachel chose a classic palette of whites & greens to compliment the landscape of the backyard. For their tent wedding, we varied interest throughout the tent by alternating high & low pieces. We spaced tall textured greenery arrangements thoughtfully throughout the tent. After that, the remaining round tables featured a lush gardeney compote arrangement. The compotes were full of white blooms such as stock, lisianthus, roses, and spray roses. Tons of greenery spilled out of the arrangements adding lots of texture.
Finally, the head table featured a thick & lush garland of salal, eucalyptus, and ruscus greenery weaving throughout with white rose blooms tucked in and a multitude of candles providing that perfect romantic glow for their tent wedding.
DETAILS
Above all, one of our favorite details of their tent wedding though was the table numbers. These featured a fresh sprig of Italian Ruscus greenery pressed in a silver rimmed glass frame. The table numbers along with the delicate sprig of rosemary on each guest’s place setting really carried the greenery throughout the tablescape. Enjoy the photos from Ann & Kam Photography below!
