It seems like just yesterday when it was sunny, and not a cloud in sight as we were setting up Bailey and Michael’s outdoor ceremony and reception over looking the Chicago River this past summer. Bailey and Michael were such a sweet couple to work with and were very deserving of this beautiful day on which they tied the knot at Rivers Restaurant.

Bailey’s vision of a white, monochromatic, palette with accents of gold throughout was the perfect complement to this already stunning space and her vision was brought to life by our team with perfect execution. They say that all that glitters is not gold… however while that might be true, it should also be said that all that is gold, sure does glitter!

The ceremony’s aisle runner was lined with a trio of jumbo white hydrangea every couple of rows. At the end of the aisle were two pedestals which both supported a large focal of gold shimmering foliage framed by an ivory fabric backdrop.

Behind this backdrop awaited the reception, where half of the tables were adorned with clear glass compotes overflowing with white and ivory flowers and gold foliage to give that fresh but classy feel to the space. The remaining centerpieces consisted of a collection of gold mercury glass vessels which had a mixture of similar flowers all surrounding a large candle focal on the center of the tables, adding that romantic ambience to the mix! Timeless Elegance at its finest.
