This past June, we had the joy of designing and producing a beautiful wedding at the Bridgeport Art Center’s Skyline Loft. This was our second wedding that we had done at Bridgeport and just like the last one, the bride and groom were close friends which made this one even more special.
There were so many beautiful elements and details that made up Sean and Morgan’s Preppy, Hamptons – Inspired Wedding and in a less-than-modest way, I think we nailed it! Some of the elements worth noting:
Elevator Garlands: If you have ever been to a wedding or an event at the Bridgeport Art Center, you know how exciting entering the space can be. An oversized freight elevator equipped with a full bar and lounge grouping transported guests to the skyline loft at the top floor. We draped garlands along the elevator, creating a super cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Ceremony Trellis Backdrop: Sean and Morgan exchanged vows in front of this all white trellis backdrop covered in smilax and accented with pops of plush peonies and ivory spray roses. At the start of the aisle stood two boxwood topiaries welcoming guests into this garden-inspired affair.
The Hydrangea Garland: Over 130 stems were used to create this lush hydrangea garland that ran the entire length of the 18′ table. With only an hour to produce this (between the ceremony and reception) our team worked insanely fast to put together this beauty. The shimmering of the votives that ran alongside the fluffy white blooms was nothing short of magical and created a truly luxurious ambience. An actual quote from the bride at the end of the night: “Can I please take this home and lay in it?”
Congratulations to Morgan and Sean, and cheers to a lifetime filled with happiness and adventure!
