Typically our biggest and most challenging weddings of the year happen in late Summer or Fall. I’m not really sure why that is. But that was not the case this year. In fact, one of our most anticipated events of the year was also one of our first. In early April, The Life In Bloom team had the opportunity to work with Kara Superfine Events to bring this remarkable Art Deco Wedding to fruition at The Old Post Office for the most fabulous couple.
We spent months prepping in the studio with custom builds, drying out palm leaves, and designing the most exquisite band backdrop you’ve ever laid eyes on. Every detail was intentional with the end goal to complement the Old Post Office’s Art Deco vibe. Enjoy a little behind-the-scenes look at how it all came together, from renderings, to action shots in the studio, to final product!
Some of what made this wedding so unforgettable was the custom designed elements such as the art deco style band-backdrop, the custom tiled bars, the numerous brass towers adorned with pampas and palms as a welcome element, and of course, the suspended floral clouds comprised of dried palms, hydrangea, and pampas grass.

Art Deco Cake having its Moment
A long time coming
Nina & Dave chose to postpone their wedding celebration due to Covid. They held a small private wedding ceremony instead. A year later, they finally celebrated, and in a BIG way. The Old Post Office was the perfect venue for their art-deco glam wedding vision. Life In Bloom had the privilege of helping to design this wedding from start to finish. Nina had impeccable taste which shines through in these beautiful photos by Katie Kett. Enjoy!
