Armour House Lake Forest Academy Wedding

We hope you are ready for a whole lot of prettiness!  This wedding that we produced this past August at the Armour House in Lake Forest, IL had plenty prettiness to go around and was something straight out of a fairy tale!  This sweet couple had a vision of a blue floral palette, which can be tricky, but we were up for the challenge.  Starting with the Bridal Bouquet which consisted of dusty miller and brunnia berries along with a primarily white collection of garden roses, anemone and lisianthus, we tied that all together with a beautiful soft blue ribbon from Silk & Willow.  The Bridesmaids had similar flowers with the addition of Privet Berries and pops of pale blue Tweedia.

The main focal of the ceremony were the two large urn arrangements which overflowed with the most stunning blue hydrangea accented with dusty miller and blue Delphinium. These two arrangements sat on white pedestals which helped to frame the ceremony space perfectly in the outdoor garden which can otherwise feel like a big open space.

Moving into the Reception, guests couldn’t help but admire the jaw-dropping staircase display that we put together.  We completely covered the staircase railing with greenery and lined the way with hundreds of pillar handles and accents of floral tucked in. The glow was something magical, to say the least!  To compliment the staircase we also applied a similar treatment to the fireplace and fountain where we, once again, tucked in a lush collection of greens to really bring that outdoor feel inside.

Lastly, the centerpieces; no wedding is complete without beautiful centerpieces.  Stemmed Silver mercury Glass Compotes overflowed with a beautiful collection of blue and white flowers consisting of white lisianthus, roses & anemone as well as accents of privet berry and acacia foliage to add in some occasional texture to the mix.

We were blessed with such a beautiful day, and feel so appreciative to have the opportunity to work with such a lovely couple. Congratulations to Lydia and Matt! We wish you a lifetime of continued happiness together!
