Katie & Jack had the epitome of a perfect organic Summer wedding at the Chicago Illuminating Company. The floral palette that Katie selected coordinated perfectly with the middle of Summer & their outdoor wedding. Katie chose muted pastel tones for the flowers which popped beautifully off the neutral beige, slate blue, and dusty gray mismatched bridesmaid dresses. A little pop of color can go a long way. The blooms we featured in the bouquets were romantic blossoms such as ranunculus, garden roses, lisianthus, and dusty taupe quicksand roses accented with rich & dusty green foliages and it was perfect for their outdoor Summer soiree.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in a Tent
Sunshine streamed brilliantly down on Katie & Jack as they said their “I Do’s” under a clear span tent. For the ceremony, we flanked the couple with two stunning large urn arrangements in our stone gray urns. A lush & organic smilax chandelier hung over the center of the aisle which later on in the evening Katie & Jack shared their first dance under. To complete the ceremony, clutches of eucalyptus greenery were tied to every other chair down the aisle to bring everything together.
Romantic Outdoor Wedding Reception
Katie & Jack wanted a romanic, fresh, and organic look for their outdoor wedding reception at the Chicago Illuminating Company. We paired natural stone vases with romantic and loose blooms to bring the space to life. Their muted palette of taupe, beige, ivory, cream, peach, and a hint of blush was accented with a whole lot of greenery and added the perfect pastel contrast to the all-white tent. Some of Katie’s favorite blooms were roses so we made sure to incorporate our favorite nude shades of Quicksand & Amnesia roses into the compotes. The end result had us swooning!
Finally, we added delicate gray taper candles surrounding the centerpieces to add that final romantic punch. Adding a colored taper candle is a perfect way to punch up your event. Thanks Katie & Jack for including us in your special day, it was such a pleasure working with you both!
