It’s no secret that Morgan Manufacturing is one of our favorite wedding venues here in Chicago. The large open floor plan, and the raw industrial finishes with the most gorgeously refined details all make this venue a great spot to say ‘I-Do’. And that is exactly what Melissa and Adam did (underneath a beautiful display of hanging greenery) this past July. And we couldn’t have been more excited to help them bring this space to life! With a wonderful team of vendors in Blue Plate Catering, Clementine Custom Events and Britta Marie Photography, this Morgan Manufacturing Wedding was a celebration that we at Life In Bloom just had to share!
Melissa and Adam got married along the North end of the main event space. First, we closed off half of the space with a gorgeous ivory drape running the entire length of the room with a baffle to create a dramatic entrance into the ceremony. And by draping off the space, we were able to bring a much more intimate feel to this otherwise very large venue. Then, as a backdrop to the ceremony, were two tied back drapes with a suspended greenery focal which hung above the couple as they exchanged their vows. The suspended piece contained Air-Plants, Succulents, Smilax, Italian Ruscus, Ivy, White Lisianthus, and White Stock flower. We lined the aisle with a long lush garland that intertwined collections of pillar candles. And this all helped make for a super romantic summer Morgan Manufacturing Wedding.
Once the ceremony was over, the guests moved into the cocktail area. Then, we quickly flipped the room creating a stunning reception space. To start, the Morgan Manufacturing Wedding space is naturally beautiful so the decor was minimal. For the table decor, we placed white, hemstitched runners on all of the tables. Next we put the garlands from the ceremony on half of the rectangular tables. Lastly, we adorned the remaining tables with a collection of mercury glass compotes, and bud vases. Finally, we finished the tables off by putting rose gold votives on all of the tables.
Lastly, the bride and her bridesmaids carried the most gorgeous bouquets of Olive, Salal, Dusty Miller, and fresh white blooms. The entire wedding had a very consistent style which felt fresh and rejuvenating. We wish the couple a long and happy marriage together! Now enjoy these beautiful photos of their wedding by Britta Marie Photography!
