Every once in a while, we have the pleasure of working with a couple or family that is so kind and sweet that we’re truly sad when their wedding is over. That was the feeling upon completion of Kristina and Kevin’s Rockwell On The River Wedding.
Rockwell on the River Wedding Venue, located between West Lakeview and Logan Square, is probably our favorite new wedding venue in Chicago. With the Bow Truss Ceiling, the incredibly detailed wood floor tiling, and the gorgeous Italian Stonework on the terrace and front drive, The Venue Logic Team transformed this once-abandoned space into a work of art.
But this Rockwell On The River Wedding wasn’t the only thing turning heads. Kristina looked elegant as ever in all white carrying a truly unique bridal bouquet! First, we used a mixture of different greens for the foundation of the bouquet. We incorporated touches of Olive, Salal, Eucalyptus, and Camellia. Next, white Dahlias, Orchids, and a touch of Sumac completed a textural aesthetic while maintaining a green and white palette. Kevin sported a boutonniere made of White Ranunculus and a touch of Seeded Eucalyptus.
Ceremony
Kristina & Kevin tied The Knot out on the back terrace of Rockwell on The River. The ceremony view overlooks the North Branch of the Chicago River. They were blessed with such a beautiful September Day. We flanked the ceremony with four gorgeous focal arrangements of Curly Willow, Olive and Hawaiian Dendrobium Orchids. We designed the arrangements in tall glass Garnier vases which were placed on top of four wood pedestals.
Reception
After the Ceremony and cocktails, guests came inside Rockwell on The River. First we set the room with all rectangular tables. Then, the tables varied between tall and low centerpieces. With dramatic tall centerpieces similar to the ceremony, the room felt full and lush. Candles and votives completed the warm and romantic look!
