It’s flower friday again and today we are showcasing a lovely Spring branch, Dogwood! In case you didn’t know already, I’m not sure there is a Spring flower that I don’t like. Cherry branches, dogwood, ranunculus, anemones, peonies…I love them all! Dogwood has a very short season of availability, that being just a few weeks in the Spring. In fact it didn’t even make it up to Illinois last year. With how fast our Spring came on, the growers in Arkansas couldn’t get the dogwood branches shipped up here. Luckily this year is another story and it is available right now, yay!
Flowering branches look spectacular in weddings and create a big impact look. I love the use of Dogwood in ceremony arches, centerpieces, and of course, bouquets!
