I had the opportunity to design and produce a wedding for my Sister-In-Law, Jessica and now Brother-In-Law, Mike this past spring along with my other sister-in-law, Sheila of Ipomea Floral. Jess & Mike were married at the gorgeous Skyline Loft at the Bridgeport Art Center on a beautiful day in April. Inspired by the deep hues of a city skyline at dusk, Jess and Mike wanted to create an environment that captured the essence of a brilliant sunset and share it with all of their guests… and I must say their vision was perfectly executed! From the seating charts, to the floral palette, in the stained glass, and even in the song that Jessica walked down the aisle to (Phoenix’s ‘Love Like a Sunset’), the sunset looked stunning in this raw space. Now enjoy the beautiful pictures by Matushek Photography and take note of the lush floral arrangements which consisted of white anemone, garden roses, pink ranunculus, coral charm peonies, and pops of thistle to name a few. And how gorgeous are those deep cobalt blue vases!?
And since I’m completely obsessed with cupcakes I just had to throw in an image of the best cupcakes in Chicago from Sweet Mandy B’s!
